Despite the well reported and desperate market conditions, Pound Gates Vehicle Management Services' vehicle inspection operations have continued to expand in the Humber Ports area of the UK.

The port of Immingham has always been a key location for Pound Gates and from the beginning of this year continuous expansion has seen the development of operations to neighbouring Killingholme, Stallingborough and more recently the port of Grimsby.

"Much of the new business relates to load lane inspections for some of the UK major road carriers. There's been a major shift in the way BMW vehicles in particular are handled and we're delighted to be involved in inspecting the majority of this product that comes into the UK. Last year we inspected around ¾ million vehicles and with the continued expansion in the Humber area and other developments in our business we are set to top the million vehicle mark this year" says Operations Director, Neal Gordon.
