Pound Gates was founded, in Ipswich, by friends Allan Pound, a Lloyd’s of London insurance Broker, and Ivan Gates, a Felixstowe freight forwarding attend. The business began with a distinct focus on marine and transit risks. The initial set up included Pound Gates & Co Ltd and Sevatas, a niche business aimed at the finished vehicle logistics sector, which is now a leader in its field.
Under Kevin Collins leadership from 2002, Pound Gates experienced significant growth and transformation, sharing its specialisation and expanding its influence.
The launch of Contior in 2017 enhanced our service range, providing specialised motor engineering services and complementing our existing offerings.
