On the 21 April, Pound Gates held its second Risky Business Breakfast, this time discussing crisis management and reputational risk.
The speaker, Liam Herbert, Managing Director of Chelgate Ltd spoke about his experience over the last 25 years, and dealing with crisis containment while Head of Corporate Communications at City of London Police, Midland Electricity, Imperial Tobacco; as well as consulting for EDF, Sainsburys and HS2.
The fundamental message given by Liam, was the importance of planning and preparation before these events occur, as well as controlling the narrative and communicating accurately when you are required to do so.
We were joined for breakfast by 90 key decision makers from businesses across Suffolk, the feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive exceeding people’s expectations.
